Vintage 50's Yellow Gold Coat
Vintage 50's Yellow Gold Coat
A gorgeous 50's golden yellow coat found and sourced in Los Angeles, California.
A beautiful vintage find from the original 'Harzfelds' Department store in Kansas City, Missouri. With original brand tag in tact on the neck of the jacket. The designer tag says 'Stanley Nelson' California. There's no fabric content info but it feels like a wool, and is super warm to wear. The hem was coming apart a little so I've had this mended and have kept the originality of the garment in tact.
STYLING TIPS: Perfect to team back with a dress if you need a coat for a dressier occasion as its unique colour lends itself to more formal occasions. In this lush yellow/gold tone you'll be able to mix and match many different colour palettes with this one; wear with brights, neutrals and pastels. Also perfect for a more casual look with jeans, your favourite t-shirt or button up blouse. Team back with some funky coloured or printed pants for some added fun!
SIZING: Nat here is an AUS size 6, with a waist measurement of approx. 24 - 25inches and a bra size of 6DD. This coat is very large on her. Depending on style and fit preference this would fit between a AUS size 6 - AUS 16.
MEASUREMENTS: Please note these measurements are taken of a garment laying flat. Please double waist, bust and hip measurement for actual round measurement. These are garment measurements and not body measurements. We recommend wiggle room to ensure a good fit.
Please be aware that the measurements below are a guide only, actual garment may vary slightly.
Thank you for choosing to shop preloved. By supporting secondhand you are investing in a circular fashion economy - one of the most sustainable ways to shop. This approach to shopping means you are not investing your money on new product where virgin materials have been produced, but rather, supporting existing product in the fashion market which is being re-circulated, reinvented and recycled. You are using your dollar and purchasing power to re-invest in preloved clothes, which means these do not end up in landfill, but are recycled, and you're not contributing to the demand of new clothes.
By purchasing a piece of clothing from our tommie shop, you are making the decision to shop mindfully and consciously; all pieces are thoughtfully hand selected one by one by eco fashion stylist and founder of tommie magazine, Natalie Shehata to create a curated shop. You are supporting us as small business, and we thank you for this. All items in this store were purchased from individuals at flea markets, thrift charity stores or small vintage shops - we too are investing our dollar in supporting small business who specialise in second hand clothing, and as some of our items were also purchased from thrift stores, we are supporting charities with our dollar.
Thank you for making this decision, you are making the world of difference. Change starts with you, you change-maker!
